The weather gods were with us again for our final planned fixed wing powered flying session of 2011. The day started pretty overcast with a strong cool breeze but this didn’t stop the first 3 pilots heading for the skies to build on their previous skills. By the time these first flights were complete the sun had come out but the wind remained for the 10am, 11am and 12noon flights. Probably the most excited were our 2 new female cadets, who arrived at the airport a full 24hrs before their flight by mistake – oops!
