On Saturday 4th August the Squadron turned out in force to man our flight simulators and hand out flyers to prospective new recruits at North City Shopping Centre.
As well as distributing information flyers and answering questions from prospective new recruits (from our target age range 13-15yr olds) and their parents, the cadets manned the flight simulators to help anyone who wanted to take a flight to get into the virtual air!
For each pilot on the day there was an opportunity to enter a free prize draw to win a radio controlled helicopter, plus a certificate to commemorate their simulated flight.
A huge “thank you” goes to North City Shopping Centre for allowing us to use their facility for the day, Dobbins Office Furniture in Tawa for supplying the display boards, and of course all the cadets who helped out on the day – a great effort, well done!
