Shooting 28 July 2013

Leading Air Cadet Grace O’Neill reports on the Squadron shoot held 28 July 2013:

On Sunday the 28th of July, 12 cadets went shooting including me.

At the start I must admit I was doing horrible but slowly started to improve.
Outside in the waiting area most people were talking with the very nice journalist. It was really cool because she had the same last name with me.

Flight Lieutenant T Will showed us the difference between the good things to do and the bad things, he got us to run for about 30 seconds then try and shoot our best. Most people did not do their best but for some odd reason I did better than usual.

At the end of the day, we had a competition between both of the flights. Number 2 Flight was down a few people so I volunteered to go to 2 Flight. 1 Flight won with the score being 5-1.

Throughout the day I slowly improved. I got my personal best and went up 11 places in the Squadron ranking so I did really well. I really like going shooting and watching my scores get better.
