Wallingford Team A wins Central and Wellington Area Shooting Trophies

Today it was announced that No 41 Squadron’s Wallingford Team A won the Central and Wellington Area Shooting Trophies.

Team A scored 425 points out of a total possible 600. Team A members were:
– Corporal Kadin Fowler 79
– Corporal Nicholas Asbery 75
– Flight Sergeant Kendall Brown 73
– Corporal Daniel Robinson 67
– Warrant Officer Alex Asbery 66
– Leading Air Cadet Alexander Ogilvie 65

The team finished 4th Nationally of the ATC teams, with the winning teams (first equal) scoring 478 points. The team also finished 4th Nationally out of all NZCF units with the top NZCC unit scoring 417 points and the top SCC unit 377 points.

At final parade Team A will be represented with the K & P L Bolton Rifle Shooting Trophy for the 5th year in a row as well as the Sir Richard Bolt Trophy, also for the 5th year in a row.

The Squadron’s Team B scored 413 points finishing 6th Nationally of the ATC Teams and 7th Nationally of the NZCF Teams. Team B consists of:
– Cadet Joseph Mijares 81
– Cadet Tere Ngaro 69
– Leading Air Cadet Michael Fell 69
– Cadet Daniel Drummond 66
– Cadet William Ngaro 66
– Cadet Sanket Balia 62

The Squadron’s Team C scored 357 points finishing 13th Nationally of the ATC Teams and 20th Nationally of the NZCF Teams. Team C consists (provisional scores shown) of:

– Cadet Grace O’Neill 63
– Leading Air Cadet Logan Cane 58
– Cadet Daniel Hawinkels 50
– Corporal Benjamin Eagle 47
