On Monday 29th of October 2012 the Squadron was visited by Group Captain Grant Crosland RNZAF, on behalf of the Chief of Air Force, with his daughter Brianna Crosland (ex-Sergeant of 41 Squadron).
Group Captain Crosland reviewed the Squadron on parade, carried out two promotions and awarded three shooting badges. Congratulations to the recipients:
Benjamin Eagle to Corporal
Daniel Robinson to Corporal
Corporal Robinson was also awarded the First Class Shot shooting badge
Cadet Tere Ngaro was awarded the Shooting Competency Badge
Cadet Daniel Shannon was awarded the Shooting Competency Badge
Group Captain Crosland then addressed the Squadron with details of his career to date and details of his current role within the NZDF.

I am the Cadet Unit Commander of No. 41 (City of Porirua) Squadron Air Training Corps.
I joined the unit in 1993 and was commissioned as an Officer in 2001. During my ATC Career I have attended cadet promotional courses, staffed courses, and completed the Officer Outdoor Leaders Course, Instructional Technique Course, Command Course and the Range Safety Officer Course.
I am a Chartered Accountant and employed as an Business Advisory Services Associate at BDO. I also hold a BCA in Accounting and Commercial Law, a BSc in Computer Science and a Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.
