RNZAF 75th Anniversary Commemorative Church Service

On 3rd April F/S Brown, SGT Toohey, SGT Thompson (and F/S Kemp of No1 Sqn) attended the RNZAF 75th Commemorative Church Service at the Cathedral of St Paul in Wellington.

The Cadets acted as donation collectors – passing the collection bags around during the service.

After the service they had the chance to mingle with the congregation for afternoon tea and were able to have a chat to the Warrant Officer of the Royal Australian Air Force (WO Mark Pentreath) and the Chief of the RNZAF (Air Vice-Marshal Peter Stockwell). The WO is a former drill instructor so they discussed the finer points of drill and marching with him. It was good to have a brief talk to CAF and discuss ATC with him.

An excellent event attended by our Cadets, and thoroughly enjoyed by them.
