Commonwealth Day Service

On 12th March F/S Brown, SGT Toohey, LAC Drummond & LAC Robinson attended the Commonwealth Day ceremony at the Cathedral of St Paul in Wellington.

The Cadets were the Colour Party and they carried the Commonwealth Flag.

They led the procession of all the flags of the countries of the Commonwealth. The flags were carried to the altar and they had to Slow March the length of the Cathedral, and it looked crisp and very smart. Well done to SGT Toohey for carrying the large flag without a holster!

There were lots of dignitaries in attendance including the Governor General, Members of Parliament and Commonwealth Diplomats.

The Cadets certainly enjoy this sort of event, it makes them feel extremely proud and it gives them great exposure in front of all sorts of people.
